| Product description: TEGOMER® C-Si 2342 is a reactive organo-functional polysiloxane used as hydrophobizing agent in the leather industry. Due to the carboxyl end groups TEGOMER® C-Si 2342 can be used as a reactive component to modify bulk properties of polymers. Application: TEGOMER® C-Si 2342 is applied in the leather wet-process as component in post-tanning, dyeing or fat liquoring formulations. During the wet-process, TEGOMER® C-Si 2342 reacts with the functional groups of the leather substrate. By the reaction of the carboxyl functional groups TEGOMER® C-Si 2342 can be introduced permanently in suitable polymers.
