Sandvik “Nano-Series” cemented carbide grades have a tungsten carbide (WC) grain size of 0.2 µm. This grain size is achieved by means of a unique processing route quite different to conventional carbide technology. These materials have been developed as a result of an extensive research program aimed at optimizing grade wear resistance, toughness and strength.
