Evonik Solimide® AC-530 Polyimide Foam  (Unverified Data**)
Categories: Polymer; Thermoplastic; Polyimide, Thermoplastic

Material Notes: Description: SOLIMIDE® foams offer a unique combination of properties suited for demanding industrial environments. Because the foams retain their flexibility at cryogenic temperatures, they are utilized as expansion joints for cryogenic tanks, pipelines and wind tunnels. Very low outgassing makes SOLIMIDE® foams the choice for use in sensitive electronic, medical and analytical instruments. These products can be used at temperatures that would degrade other foams, allowing for use as insulation in ovens and other high temperature processes. SOLIMIDE® foams are used in a variety of applications from transportation to plant maintenance. They are environmentally "green," chemical and fire resistant, lightweight, durable, easy to install, and can be customized for any industrial situation.
